Prologue/Starting Scenario

Within the humble mountains of Vivaeterrae, a bountiful region that harbors many an adventurer, lies a small village of just 83 people, called Ravenir (Rav-en-eer). This village is known to have been the birthplace of some of the region’s most dominant warriors, intelligent scholars, gifted engineers and skilled craftsmen. The reason for this may have been once known, but has been lost to time. One man known as the professor, a recluse to anyone he deems outside his circle, has requested the gathering of just 4 of the villagers of vastly different skill sets to convene at his home. He gave them very little to go on; nothing more than the following words etched into limestone plates left at each of their doors:
